Suggest Medication To Reduce Estrogen Levels In Blood

Hello

I am a hypothyroid patient. Recently, I got a test for Free Testoterone and Estradiol. The Levels are as follows:

Free Testosterone : 14.23ng/dl (normal is given as 5.88-18.35 ng/dl)

Estradiol : 54.26pg/ml (normal is given as 7.63-42.6pg/ml)

I want to know if there are any pills/tablets for reducing estrogen levels.

Hello

Welcome to health care Magic.

I have read your question completely and understand your concerns.

May I know the reason for which you got your testosterone and estrogen levels checked? What is your age?

There are medicines which can reduce the estrogen levels. For example, you could be prescribed Tamoxifen. But the dose and the duration of the medicine will be dependent on the symptoms you have due to the estrogen excess. ( for example some males have breast enlargement due to estrogen excess). Furher, these medicines are prescription only medicines, hence you need to see a doctor for it.

I would advise you to see an endocrinologist for your hormone problems and get a proper evaluation.

I hope this answer has helped you.

Thank you.

Regards
