HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Periods during adolescence can be irregular though it normally regularizes after a few years.

In some cases however, the irregular cycles can be due to other causes such as: (1)polycystic ovarian syndrome- this condition can also cause abnormal hair growth. Blood tests for hormone levels and an ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries, would diagnose it

(2)abnormal levels of thyroid hormones

(3)emotional stress or illness

(4)high levels of prolactin hormones

(5)physical illness

It would be best for her to be taken to her doctor for assessment. This would include physical examination, blood tests and imaging.

I hope this helps
