Suggest Medication To Regulate Menstrual Cycle

Hi Doctor, I am 29 year old, height 5 4 and weight 55 kg, my periods are delayed by 14 days now. I am single and my last period ended on july 14. I have 34 days cycle on an average. Previously also I have this experience of delayed periods but not this much. Could you suggest some medicine and dosage to get periods immediately and regulate cycle? Thanks, XXXXXX

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Following are the causes of irregular menstrual cycle:
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, ovarian cyst/PCOS, thyroid dysfunction and endometriosis.
I would suggest to under go the USG scan, reproductive and thyroid hormone and ovarian follicle for better management.
Period can be induced by progesterone pill.
Take primolut N 5 mg twice daily for 5-6 days.
It support the endometrium and when you stop it withdrawal period will occur.
You can use birth control pill to regularize the period once your period will come.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet and do regular exercise.
So report your problem to gynecologist and take proper prescribed drug.
Hope this may help you
