Well there can be many reason for occurrence of meniere disease and there are many underlying conditions and diseases associated with this disease . So it is very essential to cure those underlying condition to completely get rid of this disease. Meniere disease occur due to :- -Improper fluid drainage, perhaps because of a blockage or anatomic abnormality -Allergies - infection in middle ear . -Genetic factors . - Head injury . - Migraines . I would suggest you to consult you doctor again for proper evaluation anf to find out what exactly causing this disease . Treatment will depend upon the underlying cause . There are many treatment options aprt from medicines you mention in query like diuretic (a drug that causes increased urine output) , Gentamicin is an antibiotic that is injected to reduce the balance in your ear, Injections of steroids , hearing aid , endolymphatic sac procedure and vestibular nerve section procedure . Till then reduce stress and anxiety . Avoid food and drinks containing caffeine . Continue medicine prescribed by doctor ( Meclizine and prednisone ) Hope your concern has been resolved.
