I think it is
peripheral neuropathy that cause pain in the feet.
Also note the other causes of burning and painful feet:
Peripheral neuropathy
Trauma
Vitamin B12 and B6 deficiency
Kidney disease
peripheral vascular disease
Vasculitis
Sarcoidosis
Hypothyroidism
Overuse
Excessive Alcohol, smoking and caffeine use
Obesity
Complication of diabetes
For exact diagnosis consult the MD doctor and do following test
Blood: CBC, ESR, fasting blood glucose, urea,
creatinine, Liver function test, RA factor, Uric acid,Hb1ac
Urine routine and microscopic examination
Electromyograohy
Nerve conduction study and biopsy if needed
Following are advice:
Give proper rest to your feet, avoid excessive use
Rise the leg when you are sleeping (Put pillow below feet)
Wear proper cushioning foot wear
Wear cotton soaks that prevent the sweating
Apply cooling lotion
Apply cold pad to the feet
Take healthy diet and fresh fruits
Tablet vitamin B6 and B12 (Neurobial forte)
Tablet Lycra
Tablet
Diclofenac -Sr
After diagnosis you can take proper treatment
