Suggest Medications For Cough And Nose Blocks In Infants

i m a nursing mother for a six month old baby girl and is suffering from cough.so is it by any chance possible that through me the cough can get transferred to my baby as she has started with heavy congestion which is also not allowing her to breathe normally through her nose. i have tried nasoclear at regular intervals and also got examined to the pediatrician.its been almost a month she still suffers from nose blocks and is breathing throughout her night sleep through her mouth.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I would advise you to consult an ENT surgeon for proper evaluation, nasal and oral examination, to see for the cause of nasal blockage. It is possible that there is an actual problem other than just nasal congestion. You may need CT scan or MRI for proper evaluation of nasal block if the regular medicines do not help to resolve the issue. You also need to be well treated for your respiratory problems, having examination, investigations if required and treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
