Suggest Medications For Loss Of Appetite

I just had blood work done and my protein 6.2 and white blood cell count 3.4 1000ul are low. My doctor first said I should go to a Hematologist then said we ll wait a month and check it again. I had total knee replacement of Jan 7 and the meds I was on killed my appetite. I really just started eating better in mid March.

Hello
Your protein level is normal while W B C count is not so low 3400 ( normal 4000-10000 cmm ) , so this is approximately normal & not a question of concern. After surgery loss of appetite is common because trauma of operation , tension and anxiety. When such type of patient visit to me I usually prescribe them appetite stimulant .
Cyproheptadine hydrochloride+sorbitol+tricholine available in syrup form and sugar free 2-4 T S F one hour before meal time twice or thrice in day till complete improvement.
Tablets "Buclizine hydrochloride " 25 mg 2 - 2 ( two tablets twice in day).
One enzyme syrup as this will digest whatever you eat and you will feel appetite . This syrup should be taken after meal.
Hope this information will help you.
Good luck.
