General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Your kid's condition may be due to viral bacterial or parasitic infection. It is not good for a 10 month old to just be on oral medicines for this kind of symptoms. He must be hospitalized and be put on iv fluids to compensate fluid loss. Stool culture test needs to be done and then appropriate medicines should be started.
Hope I have answered your query.
