My grown daughter has been to her doctor & thought it was strep throat & the culture came out neg, & she got treated for tonsillitis & she finished her antibiotics but its going on 2 weeks now & her throat is still swollen with white spots on tonsils & her neck has swelling too. She doesn t have mono (she took a blood test) but still feels ill & her doctor said its probably a virus & should go away on its own. I feel she needs some more medicine, but I am just her mom. So, what do you think it could be?

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

I reviewed your history.
Since full course of antibiotic drugs have been given, I think you can give analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs for pain relief.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this answers your question and the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
