Suggest Medicine For Buttock/leg Pain Caused By Herniated Disc

Please type your query here...my wife is having severe left buttock pain and pain travelling along outside of left leg caused by L-4 L-5 hernieted disc. She tried several medicine including Percocet, but pain is not reduced at all. Do you know any medicine which can help? She is visiting Physical Therapist who will help in long term.
