Suggest Medicine For Nasal Congestion And Headache

How do I tell the difference between a cold and sinusitis? I have had nasal congestion for about two weeks, taking a decongestant only lasts for the course of a few hours. I don t want to keep taking meds all day every day. I don t have a fever, but an occasional headache. What should I be taking? Claratin? Mucinex?
