Suggest Medicine For Nausea, Headache And Vomiting Caused After Eating
I have had nausea with some vomiting at the onset, with diarrhea for 7 days. Fever and chills at the onset, now just chills and headache. Feels like something is stuck at the top of my stomach. Have taken Immodium AD, eaten cheese, macaroni and cheese, toast, scrambled eggs....always feel very hungry after bathroom events, but after I eat, I feel very sick on my stomach. Have been taking Zofran for nausea as needed. Please advise.
Cheese is very hard for your GI system to digest, and especially when having a gastroenteritis like you've been having, I suspect it is making things worse. I would suggest you stick to a simple diet of toast, crackers, bananas, maybe adding chicken when you are feeling better. Avoid any cheese or milk products. You can continue taking the Immodium and Zofran as you need.
If you are having any fevers or blood in your stool, you may need antibiotics and I would recommend seeing a doctor. Otherwise I would expect your diarrhea to resolve within the next week.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
General & Family Physician
