Suggest Medicine To Relieve Headache After Removing The Tooth

About 5 years ago after having a tooth removed I developed severe pain down the left side of my head. Doctors have been treating me for trigeminal neuralgia ever since, I have had so far gabapentin, amatriptaline, duloxatine, carbomezapine but to date none have worked and I still have severe pain the only thing that stops it for a short while is paracetamole but this does not last very long and the pain starts again. The pain wakes me every night at least once when I need paracetamole to stop the pain, has anyone got any suggestions to assist with pain relief except paracetamole

Hello dear,
I can understand your concern.You apparently have tried all the anti-neuralgics medicines for Trigeminal neuralgia(carbamazepine,amitriptyline,duloxetine and gabapentin) and none of them worked.However,paracetamol,which is a mild analgesic and a cyclooxygenase(COX) inhibitor works in your case.So,you can try other non - steroidal anti inflammatory drugs(NSAIDS) which are COX inhibitors and have analgesic action like naproxen,ibuprofen(but under your physician's guidance.I hope it helps.
