Rosecea is a disorder characterised by multiple erythematous lesions present all over the face generally over the malar region.Other treatment options apart from metronidazole include topical ivermectin which is used for elevated lesions and pus filled lesions. Topical brimonidine is another treatment option used for the erythema or redness of rosecea.Oral doxycycline can also be used. Avoid hot and spicy food as well as sun exposure. Moisturisers containing aloe Vera can be used but only for a short duration. Regards.
