Hi,
Noted your history of being an Opera Singer, have strained muscles related to voice production, vocal cords examined and are normal, has excessive mucus production, tried 2 different Doctor, gave medicines, antibiotics,
Since the vocal cords are normal we have to concentrate on other resons for your symptoms which may be as follows:
Granular pharyngitis.
Inflammation of
Hyoid bone and
thyroid cartilage and muscles around.
Internal muscles spasms, driven by anxiety or stress.
Please discuss these points with your treating Doctors.
Yes, oral
steroids may help you if you do not have
diabetes.
Stop singing for some time till you get okay as the strained voice will automatically increase your symptoms.
Steam inhalation.
Warm saline gargles.
Keep away fr the instigating and enhancing factors which you have to identify yourself.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
