Suggest Medicines To Prevent Pregnancy Post Intercourse

I had a unprotected sex with my girlfriend on 1th may 2015, around 2pm. She took the unwanted72 pill after 15 hour of having unprotected sex. Her average period timing is around date 09-11 may, today its 11th may still she didn t get her peroid. Suggest me some effective method to prevent her from getng pregnant. I ll be grateful if u kindly suggest me some pills. Thanking you.

Unwanted 72 pill contains only Levonorgestrel, a natural female sex hormone called progesterone that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourse if it is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sexual encounters. It is very effective medication for preventing unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual activities. Only 1 or 2 in every 100 women who take this medication, may become pregnant despite using this medication within 72 hours after having unprotected sex.

But this medication has side effects. It may cause irregular periods like delayed or early periods, irregular uterine bleeding, spotting or breakthrough bleeding between periods, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding etc. These side effects are mild and normally go away in time. But if the delayed period persist for long, then your girlfriend can undergo urine for pregnancy test for excluding pregnancy and inform her doctor for medical help.
