Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I started staking the pill about 10 months ago and all it has done is make me bleed at first really heavy for two and a half straight months and then continuously spot. Every day. I have tried many different pills. And they all do the same some even worse so. I have decided to stop taking it. Its been a week and a half. I had what seemed like a period and I thought the bleeding had stopped but their still seems to be some spotting. Do I just ride this out and let my body settle itself or go back to a doctor and get primolute
I would recommend you to have a visit with the doctor and probably a transvaginal ultrasound and pap smear to make sure there is no structural condition that is causing you to bleed irregularly and heavily.
If structural diseases (such as fibroids, polyps, endometrial hypertrophy, cervical lesions, etc) are ruled out, then the doctor may insert a Mirena intrauterine device which is generally the treatment of choice when other contraception methods do not help with the bleeding.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
