Suggest Methods For Abortion
Hi , I have just used MTP Kit for abortion .I used 4 tablet and inserted them in vagina ...after 6 hours when i went for toilet the 4 tablet came out but excessive bleeding already started ..i am little worried ,Do i hve to put tablets again or will that be fine

You have used MTP kit. This kit contains Tab. Mifepristone which is to be taken by mouth. Then Tab. Misoprostol is to be followed after 24-48 hours by mouth, under the tongue or through the vagina.
Your history mentions that you have inserted 4 tablets only in the vagina. This is according to Misoprostol only regime which also is recommended by WHO. According to this regime, Misoprostol may be repeated every 3-12 hours up to 3 doses.
You have started bleeding after 6 hours. After the abortion process has started, usually the abortion is complete within 24 hours and the bleeding is well within control. However, since the bleeding is alarming and you are worried, you have to take some active steps to control the bleeding.
This excessive bleeding could be due to the incomplete abortion. Please get ultrasonography done to assess the completeness of abortion. If it shows some products still inside the uterine cavity, you will have to get them removed by surgical intervention. If the uterine cavity is empty and still you are bleeding heavily (which is a rare event), repeat Misoprostol which will contract the uterus and control the bleeding.
In fact these medicines are not to be taken without Gynaecologist's advice. Please report to the Gynaecologist ASAP before you bleed too much.
