Hello Harry,
No, we are talking about you having too much LDL which damages the vascular system and can lead to strokes and heart attacks. You have already had one bypass. You will forever have to monitor your lifestyle - diet, exercise and medications as prescribed.

Many muscle problems caused by statin medications, and I am assuming you are on one, can be helped by supplementing the diet with Coenzyme Q10 as statins can deplete that nutrient.

You need to keep up with muscle strengthening exercises to keep muscles toned. Keep your doctor informed of any changes as your muscular problems could be medical.

I hope I have cleared up any confusion and given you some guidance as to alleviating your muscular problems. Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
