Suggest Methods To Reduce TSH Levels

Hi I got detected TSH = 5 & my Dr Proscribed me Thyronorm 75 once in morning empty stomach As I was hving repeated lose motions Anxity for last 30 days & unable to have proper sleep in nioght ..... Please let me know I have BP 145/90 & having medication of Snumlo 2.5 & Nebicard 2.5 once in morning after tea ...should I start this medicine or there is alternative way of reducing the TSH to normal..

I can understand your query.

You TSH level is slightly above the normal ranges but you didn't check the FT4 and FT3 levels. If they are within the normal level it is called subclinical hypothyroidism and in most of the cases is asymptomatic.
Anyway, to confirm that your symptoms are not due to thyroid under function, you may start levothyroxine (50 mcg daily) and check the TSH after 6 weeks.
If it is corrected and the symptoms are still present than thyroid is excluded as a cause of your symptoms.
