Suggest Methods To Stop Menstruation

My period started earlier than usual today, I am going on holiday sunday. I went to the doctors and got prescribed norothisterone to stop my period on holiday and was told to take it 3 days before but as I m early I m not sure if it will still work? and will I still have period pains?
