Suggest Methods To Terminate Pregnancy.

Hello doctor, my girlfriend and I had unprotected sex about two weeks ago. She was supposed to start her period about a week after but it came about 4 days earlier...and after the period she was tested positive for pregnancy....what could be done regarding this since we don t want a child at this moment.. thank you...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your girlfriend have got pregnant and you want abortion for that, well i don't recommend abortions. You should take proper preventive methods and you should get ultrasound done to check whether its intrauterine pregnancy or ectopic. Now i would suggest you to take Unwanted kit which is used for the medical method of abortion as this contains the tablets mifepristone and misoprostol which is an effective method of abortion for pregnancies less than 7 weeks gestation. If you are not prepared you should take proper precautions and proper preventive methods to avoid it. Otherwise, you may have complications like uncontrolled bleeding or incomplete abortion. I would suggest you to do it under supervision of medical practitioner after getting transvaginal ultrasonography.
