Suggest Natural Remedies To Reduce Amylase Levels

My amylase level 277 and I would like know how lower it naturally. Age 42 female. Nothing diagnosed yet. Had a surgery 2 years ago. Had arterial septal disorder. I had to take aspirin for 3 years in a row. Just stopped taking aspirin few months ago. I drink occasionally, once or twice a month. A glass or two- wine. Sharp abdominal pain occasionally. Did blood test twice and amylase level is still the same.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Amylase level with 277 IU/L is about 3 fold increase than the normal levels. It is elevated due to inflammation of pancreas called 'pancreatitis'.
Since alcohol could precipitate the inflammation process, it would be advisable for you to stop consuming alcohol completely.
Also, take diet rich in antioxidants and avoid intake of fat in the diet. Supplementation with antioxidant compounds like Vitamin E and Selenium would also be beneficial.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Wish you good health.
