Hello
Normally mucus don't present in throat ,but if present ,it means either due to INFECTION (
SORE THROAT) or due to some sort of
allergy .
When allergy present and added with infection patient may develop asthmatic allergic
bronchitis .
Post nasal discharge is a common feature in allergy and also infection.
In my opinion you are a patient of allergy so please avoid , mite , dust , pollen, sudden fall and rise of temperature , fine dusting powder, cotton threads , smokes etc.
When such type of patient visit to me I advise them ( because of a breast feeding patient ) to take monteleukast + bambuterole once in day ( safe both for mother & infant). This is a prescription medicine so consult a physician and get his opinion.
Hot coffee provide much needed relief .
Steam inhalation also provide relief.
Hope this information will be helpful both of you.
