Suggest Opinion About The Accuracy Of Urine Pregnancy Test

Hi, I was just wondering how accurate urine pregnancy tests are? I had unprotected sex on the 29th of December and 5th of March and have still got my periods as normal. My last one was 15th-19thMarch. I have been extremely nauseas the past week and have vomitted as soon as i wake up the past few days. I have also been dizzy, had fevers, had pins and needles in my hands and legs and have had moderate abdominal pain. My doctor took a urine pregnancy test this morning which came back negative but she ordered a blood test to be sure. She is away for a few days so I cannot get the results. What is the liklihood that the urine test was wrong and I am pregnant?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the urine pregnancy test is sensitive but the blood test detects even mild HCG so it might be advised.There is less chance of urine pregnancy test to be wrong unless it is done too early.The urine pregnancy test gives good results if done a week after missed period.The vomitings can also be due to gastritis.
