Hello,

Firstly, home delivery is not recommended by physician and there is always a chance for infection and complications. If you are planning for home delivery, cord should be clamped by a sterile object. You can buy umbilical clamp which is available in a pre-sterilized package.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
