Hello,

You have history of neuropathy in the left leg, you have been taking Oxycodone for the last ten years for relief of pain. You should have also taken treatment for nerve repair to avoid permanent nerve damage. Now, since you are having pain leg you are suggested to limit exercises that are hard on your feet, like running or aerobics. Do not exert. You can still do lots of other activities like walking, swimming or biking but do not overexert yourself.

Gentle exercises will help to reduce neuropathy pain and improve muscle strength. Massage and physical therapy under a physiotherapist is effective. Include anti inflammatory food in your daily diet. These foods include whole grains, lean meats, vegetables, nuts and fish. Lean meats such as poultry and fish are high in vitamin B12, which helps to keep blood cells and nerves healthy. You can also take vitamin B6, B12 as supplements.

Drink plenty of water and control your blood sugar. Do not use artificial sweeteners and do not skip meals. You can take pain relieving medications like NSAIDS. Get clinically examined by a neurologist as you may need nerve blocks or implantable devices. Get nerve conduction velocity devices tests, biopsy, imaging tests etc., to detect the study of nerve damage. You will be accordingly treated. Take extra sleep to aid better healing of nerves.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
