Suggest Painkillers Besides Ibuprofen For A Painful Sebaceous Cyst On The Head

I have a sebaceous cyst on my head. Recently it has been very sore and tender and I believe it is infected. I have an appt with a surgeon next Thursday, the soonest appt they had, to have it removed. What can I do until then for relief? I ve been taking ibuprofen every 6 hours and apply a heat pack 2 times a day. Right now the pain is bad and I cannot sleep.

Hello
If ibuprofen doesn't help, naprosyn may work for this, but otherwise you may need a prescription pain reliever like hydrocodone
