Suggest Possible Tests To Confirm Presence Of Herpes

re occuring yeast infections - went to dr twice to get wet sample and both times yeast showed up under microscope - this last outbreak went to the dr w/mild itching but not full blown symptons - did another wet sample - no yeast - checked vaginal area - looks good - did not see anything out of ordinary - suggested blood test - blood test came back w/positive for HSV-1 antibodies?? so now i have herpes, but never had a cold sore in my life or any type of sores on vaginal area - could this be a misdiagnosis???
