To whom it may concern: I have had acne my whole life and I know what a typical pimple is like. Lately I have been having normal breakouts but on top of those I am getting what looks like a regular pimple but when I squeeze one of them it produces a very thick almost transluscent jelly that I actually have to pull the rest of the way out of my face and it's a large amount. Is very stretchy and thick. Also it creates a large amount of blood but not so large of a hole. again I have never seen anything like this before and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
You seem to be having inflammatory acne. It is never a good idea to fiddle with acne, squeezing and manipulating may push them deeper thus causing more inflammation and is also going to leave behind unsightly marks and scars.
For inflammatory acne(papules and pustules) I advice my patients to start with one of the oral antibiotics leither Azithromycin/ Doxycycline OR Minocycline.
Topical treatment of acne mainly revolves around topical antibacterials (Clindamycin gel OR Nadifloxacin gel), benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoids(Adapalene OR tretinoin). Topical retinoids are antiinflammatory as well as comedolytic, therefore they also prevent new acne formation.
Hope this helps Regards
