Suggest Precautions To Be Taken After Treatment Of Sunburn
Hi, I recently had really bad sunburn. Very close to 3rd degree it happened 12 days ago and the peeling has finally stopped and only have a few small scabs, except for on my chest, ( I went to the doctors got a burn dressing, dressing was ripping off skin so I completely removed it to prevent further damage it has got rock hard scabs on it ). Any who I would like to go for a bush walk with my friends tomorrow but my parent disagrees. Is it recommended that I can go outside for a long period of time or just stay inside and protect the new skin?
I think the best you can do is to practice strict sun protection by using a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UVA and UVB protection, throughout the day and reapply it every 2-3 hours.
Apart from the sunscreen sun protective behaviour like using an umbrella, broad brimmed hat, wearing full sleaves and staying indoors during the peak sun intensity would go a long way in protecting from sunburn.
regards
