Suggest Precautions To Be Taken When Diagnosed With A Small Kidney Stone
I have been told that I have one small kidney stone in each kidney, but they have not grown in 20 years. I am now 74, other than not eating an overabundance of dark green veggies, and strawberries I do nothing except now trying to lose weight on Weight watchers diet, down 20+ pounds in 12 weeks. are ther any other precautions that I should adopt?
I recommend eating healthy foods. You may need to avoid or limit meat, poultry and fish because they increase acid in the urine. You will need to drink plenty of fluids and avoid caffeine, which may dehydrate you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
