Suggest Preventive Measures To Avoid Bartholin Cyst

Hi, I have been suffering from Bartholin cyst since 2013. Between Feb, 2013 to Nov 2015, i got this bartholin abscess 7-8 time. Already done with marsupalization and I&D both.My doctor advised me to maintain vaginal hygiene and two avoid public toilets. I also take sitz bath regularly along with homepathic medicine(Silicea, hyper Sulph 3X, Arsenic and belladona). I did not have bartholin after Nov 2015, so i thought it will not come now. Since i was thinking to plan a baby, i discontinued homeopathic medicine for around a month as i read these should be avoided. I am not sure because of this or my office toilets were not clean, I am feeling its coming again. Please suggest me if anything can be done at this time only when it is not swollen and not that painful. Because past occurence have been very painful i had to go to completely bed ridden for 7-10 days for this problem.

Hi,

In absence of any pain,seeking like suggestive symptoms the fear and insecurity you might be afraid of getting the thing again. I would suggest to continue absolute genital hygiene, try to use boiled and cooled water to clean the part after you use your office toilet, dry it and then wear underwear. Observe for few days, get internal check up to be free of the doubt / start with medication as per need.
