Suggest Remdedy For Large Blisters On Toe After Surgical Removal Of Ingrown Toenails ?

I had two ingrown toenails removed during my foot surgery..both the big toe and 2nd toe have stitches on them .. ..I am on antibiotics already and just opened my bandages on toes to put some anti-itch cream on them...now I see that I have large blisters full of clear fluid on the 2nd toe and the big toe has them too but they broke open as I put the anti=itch cream on. I now cleaned the toes the best I can with gauze and put antibiotic ointment all over them and re-gauzed them....I have a dr. appt on wed ...can I wait that long? do I open the blisters? do I use peroxide on the stitches?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an abscess or pus collection.
It has to be removed.
Consult a general surgeon and plan for drainage.
Nothing much to worry as it can be done under local anesthesia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
