Suggest Remedies For A Broken Vein On The Thumb Of Right Hand

back in February I was a caregiver for my Mom in hospice. I hit my right hand right on the bone at the end of my thumb. A vein popped up, I did continue to help and move my Mom and I would feel pain sometimes. Sometimes got worse, eventually I had an xray, no break, or crack. I have been to an ortho Dr. again says no break and I convinced him to do an MRI and it was normal. Now my thumb is worse and it is swollen on that side of my hand. Sometimes sharp , pains like electricity goes through it. I cannot tighten things and it is getting harder to use. What would be my next step? I have been told in the past that I had a mild case of Sjrogens. Should my next step be a blood test.
