Suggest Remedies For A Contracted Muscle On My Neck

I seem to have a contracted muscle on the left side at the back of the neck. It has been contracted for a few months now and I need to get relief urgently . I have gotten massages, Cold treatmentand I have ran out of options but they are of no help.What should I do to get some relief.
