Suggest Remedies For A Dermoid Cyst On The Right Ovary
în March of this year I had a laparotomy to remove my dermoid ovarian cysts. two on my left ovary (5cm,7cm) and a large one on my right ovary (21cm). 6 months later I ve just been told I have a 5cm dermoid on my right ovary again. is it usual for a reoccurrence like this and will this affect my fertility? I m only 19 years old and have always wanted children. what should my next steps be as my current doctors have just told me to wait 2 months the to see if it grows

Removal of the dermoid cyst is usually the treatment of choice. This can be done by laparotomy (open surgery) or laparoscopy (with a scope). Torsion (twisting) of the ovary by the cyst is an emergency and calls for urgent surgery. Dermoid cysts of the ovary are also referred to as simply dermoids or ovarian teratomas.
