Suggest Remedies For A Large Knot On The Left Achilles
About 11 years ago I ruptured my left Achilles tendon. About 6 months ago I knot appeared over my Achilles. Like 3/4 of a golf ball size. My foot, ankle area and lower leg swelled up pretty badly. I went to the doctor and he told me I had tendonosis and there was nothing i could do about it other than ice it and take ibuprofen. It happened again about 3 days ago and all the same has repeated. I am swollen, in pain, with another large knot over my left Achilles. Should I go to another Dr for another opinion? Or just deal with it. Thank you.

Yes, you should visit another orthopedic surgeon as he may suggest some other treatment plan. If he advises, go for an MRI of the foot.
