Suggest Remedies For A Lump In Left Armpit
Good afternoon Dr. Andrew, I m 23 ,male I found a lump in my left armpit on Sept.18,2016 and I went to see mu family Dr. he prescribed CEPHALEXIN 250mg for seven days, one capsule,4 times a day. I just finished the medicine but the lump I found is still there and didn t getting smaller. My question is what I am going to do for this lump for next step? Thank you

It is possible that an abscess has formed there containing lot of pus. Abscess needs to be drained by surgical excision.
Advice
1. Go to hospital and consult a surgeon for surgical drainage
2. Ibuprofen 600 mg orally after meal if pain occurs
3. Amoxicillin- clavulinic acid 625 mg every 8 hours for 7 days
4. Cold fomentation with ice pack every 4 hours
