Suggest Remedies For A Painful Lump With Bruise On Leg Post An Injury

Hello, A little over two months ago I slipped and and hit my leg really hard against a wooden deck post and there is still a painful lump on my leg. You can still see a little bruising and it s very tender to touch. I also can t squat down with this leg, my muscles feel really tight there if I try. I m just wondering why it hasnt healed yet and what I can do to help speed up the healing process. Thank you for your time

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
It may be infected hematoma and in this case surgical incision and drainage of hematoma may be required along with antibiotic therapy. I suggest to do ultrasound and check inflammatory markers to rule out my diagnosis and then treatment can be planned.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
DR. Ivan Rommstein
