General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, your child may be suffering from chicken pox or mumps-like infection. he needs to get review of pediatrician.

Meanwhile, try washing it with lukewarm water and don’t let your child scratch it much. if painful then OTC like acetaminophen may help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
