Hello!
I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
I would like to know if you feel any pain when touching the swollen ganglion, and if it is redish or normal color.
If you feel pain when touching it , the most probable would be an inflammatory lymph node. These are common findings during an inner ear infection or angina.
But your past medical history is concerning . I would recommend to consult with your GP, have a full blood work for infection . A biopsy of the lymph node may be needed to rule out a possible lymphoma.
Hope to have been of help!
Greetings!
