General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Acute liver failure is not always necessarily caused by alcohol. There is non alcoholic cirrhosis which has different underlying causes, sometimes viral. I would suggest you wait until the results come and follow your doctor’s advise. Do not panic. Depending on the test reports, your doctor will guide you with proper treatment options.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
