Suggest Remedies For Ankle And Calf Pain
I have an ankle reconstruction (metal clip, screw and tightrope string) around three years ago and healed very well. A couple of months ago i started getting pains in my calf muscle on the leg in question, and around 5 days ago started to get severe pains on the outside ankle below the ankle bone and inside the ankle joint. I now have pain even at rest, but driving is virtually impossible and walking just aggravates the pain. I have tried to walk but then had problems with my knee giving way which has never happened before. I have been for x-rays today so am awaiting the results. i am very concerned though, as i have done nothing to my leg or ankle that i am aware of, it just seems to have come out of the blue. Could it be loose metal work perhaps?

The pain at ankle and calf might be in relation with ligament sprain or strain, manifestation of bone erosion through metal work or other inflammatory process. Till the time being approach:
Local application of heating pad and ice pack alternatively analgesic tablet as diclofenac or ibuprofen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity avoid weight bearing or tight fitting shoes. Kindly share your photo reports or images during follow up discussion, so that better guidelines can be figured out as well.
