I do hope that the diagnosis is provided to you by a psychiatrist and not self diagnosed. You also could have provided the details of treatment, if you are on any. Generally, bipolar disorder responds well to valproate and lithium. In case of rapid cycling, I would prefer valproate first. If single drug is not effective, combination of two drugs (valproate, lithium or a atypical antipsychotic like quetiapine, aripiprazole, etc.) can be tried.
