General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The chronic diabetes even with controlled levels is prone to develop arterial ischemia via micro calcification and secondary neuropathy via compromised blood supply to the involved nerves particularly that of feet. Among many of the pharmacology approaches, in my clinic, I recommend use of Gabapentine ( 300 mg ) with Amitryptiline, NSAID as ibuprofen or tramadol hydrochloride as per the clinical evaluation and patient concern. Till the time you consult your doctor, it is mandatory to continue medicines of diabetes as well as dietary precautions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
