Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doc good àfternoon. My daughter was bitten by a cat last june 2015 & completed the 4 dose vaccines of verorab, last august 06, 2016 she waa scratched by a cat & was adviced that she will be given 2booster vaccines of rabipur & given her 1st booster of rabipur booster on the 8th of august. Do we have to comply for the other booster? The kitten is okay & very playful. Please reply. Thanks.
If the kitten is your own kitten and her behavior is normal, it is unlikely she has rabies and rabies prophylaxis is unnecessary. I would recommend you to talk with your doctor and ask for more information about why the vaccine is recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
