General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Constipation can be an aggravating problem to have to deal with.

Treatment generally involves : (1) making sure to use enough fluids daily- this does not include any caffeine products or alcohol because these cause the body to release fluids

At least 8 glasses of water daily

(2)use at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables daily- this means fruit/vegetables with each main meal and with snack between main meals

(3)whole grain foods such as brown rice/pasta , flax seeds etc

I hope this helps
