I have had pain in the front of my neck for the last 5 months. I was diagnosed with lymphocytic thyroiditis, a thyroid nodule (no biopsy), and blood tests were in normal range except my liver so I was just put on prednisone for treatment. The pain only went away when I was taking 60 mg a day. Now as of 2 days ago I am on 10 mg and my lymh nodes have randomly swelled up and are hurting. My doctor just said well I can given you 20 mg of prednisone if that s what you want... it s your choice ... I wouldn t contact a doctor for less than something of real concern. I m only 22 and I shouldn t be experience this chronic frontal neck pain everyday without reason. Other symptoms I have are fatigue, lethargic, feeling down, inability to lose weight, dry skin, and my LFTs are high, no other tests have been done yet. Please help.
