Suggest Remedies For Clear Nasal Drip Post ENT Surgery

April 2009. I got hit in the face with a lovely softball, which was not so soft. I broke my nose and fractured a cheek bone. November 2014. I had surgery in my nose. ENT drilled and drained in between my eyes and below brain. I was completely clogged up due to a very lovely bacterial infection. I also have been diagnosed with many food allergies, some are still not known. Also, I am over eight months pregnant. Since the surgery, I have a clear liquid drip when I bend over. Plus, at times an ungodly amount of mucous comes out of my nose when I bend over and blow.

Welcome to HCM.

As per your query you have nasal drip post ENT surgery . Well the symptoms you mention in query occur most probably due to allergic reaction. It can also be due to sinus infection that is one of the most common cause for post nasal drip or acid relux.

I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like sputum culture, PNS view x ray of sinuses,chest x ray and post nasal drip can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, decongestant like Phenylephrine , mucolytics like Ambroxol. Do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations. Avoid spicy and chilled foods and avoid exposure to dust and pollutants. Take steam twice a day . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for condition like acid reflux .
